one-way mirror

The second you wake up every morning you have a decision to make. Are you going to make today a good day or a bad day? It’s your choice. Regardless of what’s going on in your life, you have the opportunity to make the best of everyday. Obviously, not everyday is going to bring good things. That’s just the way it works. Things happen. You can, however, deflect the bad things and use them to your advantage. Be thankful, be motivated, be whatever you need in order to turn the bad to good. It’s always possible. Always.

On the other hand, it’s impossible to constantly be positive. That’s okay, though, because we all need to be a little sad sometimes in order to appreciate. So if you must be sad; be sad. But do not allow yourself to sit and deteriorate in the sadness. Take your time and when you’re ready, burst out of it with a new outlook. There is a lesson hidden within everything. You have to stop looking at your sadness as just sadness. Look within, try and find what is truly making you feel that way. Look through the obvious and you will find the true reason. It’s scary as hell, though. The same goes for happiness. Whenever you are happy, always take a moment to look around and appreciate every aspect that’s playing a role in this happiness. Don’t ever take it for granted.

I’m well aware that not everyone looks as deeply into things the way I do. It’s quite exhausting, so I don’t blame them. Except it’s so rewarding, because there really is a deeper meaning to everything. There is so much more in this world than just what we see. I look at life as though everything is just a reflection of what the Universe thinks you need to see, except the reflection isn’t a reflection at all; it’s a one-way mirror and if you truly want to, you can see through it. You have the ability to see what’s on the other side of the obvious reflection; the ability to see what’s really happening on the inside. And I believe that what’s past the mirror is what the Universe really wants us to see. However, only the few who are willing to put themselves at mercy to whatever they have been called to, are able reach that point. You don’t have to be special, you just have to have courage. Hell, sometimes you don’t even need courage- sometimes the thing is thrown right into your face, you just have to have common sense.
