songs for the soul – part 2

I’ve noticed that whenever I’m feeling a little off I automatically turn to music. I close my eyes and just let it consume me. A month ago I posted a blog called songs for the soul. I’m going to post a part 2 right now. These are all songs that make you think (some are just calming to listen to). The lyrics are meaningful and if you listen closely I promise you’ll have something to think about.

Oceans Away — A R I Z O N A

Heavy — Linkin Park, Kiiara

Weak — AJR

Lights Down Low — MAX, gnash

Even The Darkness Has Arms — The Barr Brothers

Numb — Max Jury

Cassidy — Brett Dennen

Don’t You Cry For Me — Cobi

No One’s Gonna Love — Band of Horses

Pretty Girl — Maggie Lindermann

Now — Colbie Caillat

Save Myself — Ed Sheeran

I Found – Acoustic — Amber Run

Dancing On My Own — Calum Scott

Okay, now this last one has been on repeat for me since the day it was released. FLETCHER is an incredible artist, and an incredible person. Her Finding Fletcher – EP has 6 songs that you could keep on repeat forever and not get sick of. She’s empowering people to live their lives the way they want to. She’s spreading a message of hope and resilience. So this last song I’m recommending to you is: Wasted Youth — FLETCHER

The whole song is incredible, but one line specifically sticks out to me: “If I’m gonna fall, it’ll be from high places.” That kind of thinking is what propels people ahead in life. They are the kind of people willing to take risks to get what they want, and fight day and night for their dreams. That’s the kind of person I am. It makes me proud everyday to know I’m part of a community full of dreamers and believers. Seeing people like FLETCHER succeed makes my heart happy, and gives me hope that if I continue down this path I’ll succeed too. Keep conquering, FLETCHER. I hope to be doing the same soon.
