short reminder

Short and sweet. That’s what todays blog is going to be. Sometimes that’s what we need—a simple, to the point reminder.

If your day, your week, or your month isn’t going exactly to plan—if you’re sad, or being extra hard on yourself, or if the people around you aren’t being the greatest… it will pass. I know it sucks right now. I know it feels like it will never get better. I understand how it feels to have your eyes open and still only see darkness. I’m extremely familiar with they way the world looks through sad eyes; there is no color, no way to see the beauty around you.

You are not alone. We have all been there. You are allowed to cry. Cry until you don’t even remember why you started. Don’t let your emotions build up—you have to let them out. You have to accept that things aren’t okay right now, and you have to suffer for a while. You have to suffer until you can will yourself out of it. I promise, you will come out of it. There is no timeline, no right or wrong way to be sad; there is only you, and the strength you never knew you had. It may suck now, but soon you will be looking back on this day thankful you were strong enough to push through.
